Daniel Kenneth Barnes was born on April 16, 1935 in Titusville Pa. In his youth he was a semi-pro quarterback and pitcher. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 21 years; and was in the Korean War as well as two tours in Vietnam. He moved to San Angelo, Texas to retire and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross. He helped not only family members; but helped so many others in their hour of need. Daniel (known as "Toby" to many) was a strong man in Christ. He is survived by his wife Vina, sons; Vern Barnes, Daryl Daniels, and Terry Daniels - as well his as daughter Kelly, granddaughters Darbi and DeLaney Barnes, and Jill Daniels. Toby also had a great granddaughter, Daycee Barnes. Mr. Barnes died on Oct. 23, 2012. Arrangements are with La Paz - Graham's Funeral Home - Las Cruces Crematory.
