Her mother was originally from West Virginia too and had two brothers, her uncles Harold and Leland as well. Our mother, who was also a highly intelligent person, had attained a post graduate degree in religious education from Northwestern University in Illinois. This is where she met and married our father Ward as well. In school she was a script writer at WGN Chicago. She was married for 55 years to her husband. Ward, as well as having three children (Lance, Laura and Leslie) and adopted son (Larry) from Costa Rica. When she was not occupied with her children she was also a very good photographer chronicling our many travels overseas (Europe, Panama and Tunisia). She also wrote articles for newspapers, teaching and writing children's books as well. She will especially be missed by her family, her four grandchildren Sean, Stacey, Joshua and Christina and many friends as well. She is preceded in death by her daughter Leslie and her husband Ward.
