Frank Albert Lang, 68, of Las Cruces, New Mexico, passed away May 25, 2014. Frank was born in Dalhart, Texas, on Feb. 28,1946, the seventh child of nine to Robert Alfred and Mary Lois Lang. Frank married his beautiful wife of 40 years, Dorothy Aven, in March of 1967. They had two children, Robert and Sheila. Frank served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the VFW Post 6917. Frank worked in the construction field throughout his life. After retirement, he enjoyed working on small engines in his shop. Frank is survived by his son Robert and wife Tanya, daughter Sheila, six grandchildren Jimmy, Amberly, Ty, Cameron, Zane, and Trey, five great-grandchildren, two sisters, Marian and Sue, his brother Orville, and several nieces and nephews. Frank was proceeded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary Lois, his wife, Dorothy, his brothers Bob, Jack and Richard, sisters Betty and Mona. Frank was always there for those in need. Frank will be deeply missed by his family and friends. A celebration of Frank's life will be held on June 7, 2014, at 2 p.m. at the VFW post 6917 Highway 70.
