Richard G. Reyna, 59, went to be with the Lord on Dec. 28, 2013. He was born and raised in Las Cruces, N.M. He was a proud alumnus of Mayfield High School from the class of 1973. Richard proudly served his country for seven years in the U.S Army and five years in the U.S. Army Reserve, in which he received numerous awards. He continued his service as a mail and file clerk for the U.S. Army Research Laboratory at White Sands Missile Range for 35 years, for which he received the Achievement Medal for Civilian Service. He loved watching football, especially his Dallas Cowboys, and listening to Country music. Richard is survived by his children, Richard G. Reyna Jr., Cassandra Reyna, Adrian Reyna and Andrew Reyna; as well as their mothers, Tessie Bencomo and Janice Reyna. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Frank R. (Rosie) Reyna Sr.; Arturo Reyna; Dolores (Arturo) Monsivaiz; Ester Madrid; Albert Reyna; Linda Reyna; Tomás (Mary) Reyna Sr.; Estella Reyna (Trent) Wisner; and Barbara Reyna. He is preceded in death by his parents, José E. and Bertha G. Reyna, brother, Daniel Reyna, and niece, Tammy Reyna. Viewing will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Jan. 3, 2014, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Immediately following the viewing, both the rosary and Mass will be held at 2 p.m. Interment will immediately follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. All are welcome to join to celebrate Richard's life at a reception at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church following the burial. Arrangements are with Getz Funeral Home, 1410 E.
