Roger Wade Jay has entered eternal rest in Silver City, N.M. He was born Oct. 31, 1958, in Ajo, Ariz. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather and grandmother, Thomas and Leora Jay; maternal grandparents, Ed and Vesta Lorenzen; and a brother Richard. Roger is survived by his father, George and wife Barbara Jay of Salt Lake City, Utah; his mother, Deanna and husband Jim Washer of Apache Junction, Ariz.; daughter, Desirae and husband Devin Quintana and granddaughter Mariah of Tucson, Ariz.; brother Tom Jay and wife Kateri Drexler of Ridgway, Colo.; sister Sherill and husband Bobby Armstrong of Farmington, N.M.; nieces Julie and Ara; nephews William, Nicholas and Coury; aunt Judy Galvez, beloved family members and many friends. Roger attended Silver High School and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He loved the outdoors, including fishing, camping and woodcutting and spent many years working as a carpenter for various construction companies. Roger is remembered by his family and friends and will always be deeply missed. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be determined at a later date.
