Grasiela Flores Alarcon, 73, of Las Cruces, N.M., passed away at home on July 23, 2012. She was born to Edmeregildo Flores and Dolores Canales on Feb. 20, 1939 in Zacatecas, Mexico. She was a long time resident of Las Cruces. She retired from the Old Tortilla factory in Mesilla and was a member of the Catholic Church, always involved in their activities, and was willing to always help the community in anyway. She is survived by two sons, Guillermo Flores of Juarez, Mexico, Jose Alfredo Alarcon and wife Consuelo of Modesto, Calif.; two daughters, Alma Rosa Munoz and husband Jose Munoz of Dona Ana, N.M., Olga Villa Alarcon of Las Cruces; four stepchildren Luis Alarcon and wife Olga of Las Cruces, Julian Alarcon and wife Coleen of San Diego, Calif., Mauro Alarcon and wife Roseanne of San Jose, Calif., Miguel Alarcon and wife Candace of San Jose, Calif., Rosa Isela Niimoto and husband Glen of Honolulu, Hawaii; one sister, Anita Flores of Durango, Mexico. Other survivors include 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Guillermo Alarcon, her parents, daughters Maria Lourdes Flores and Carmen Alarcon, and grandson William Flores. Visitation for Grasiela will be from 6-7pm on Sunday, July 29 at La Paz-Graham's Funeral Home Chapel, 555 W. Amador Ave. A prayer vigil will follow at 7 p.m. Funeral mass will be Monday, July 30 at Our Lady of Health Catholic Church to begin at 10 a.m. with burial to follow at Masonic Cemetery. Serving as the casket bearers will be Jose Alfredo Alarcon, Luis Alarcon, Angel Alarcon, Jose Alarcon, Andre Saavedra, Jose Munoz, Joey Alarcon and Alejandro Alarcon.
