Beatrice C. Lucero "Granny Bea" peacefully left this world for the Lord on Friday December 13, 2013. She was born in Garfield New Mexico on April 7, 1927 to Clemente Castrillo and Anita Castrillo-Baldomado. Granny left a presence of angelic magnitude on all whom had the honor of knowing her. She was affectionately known as "Granny Bea" by all who met her as she was the cutest little grandmother. She left an eternal mark on her family and friends. She grew up in Garfield, but a majority of her adult life in Hatch, New Mexico after meeting and falling in love with her husband Siegfredo Lucero. She finished her touching life in Las Cruces, New Mexico with her family by her side. She is preceded in heaven by her brothers and sisters Raphaela Gonzales, Irene Gonzales, Elinora Gonzales, Carmen Gonzales, Mike Castrillo, Lupe Gonzales and Granny's son Freddie Lucero. Her memory is carried on by her family that remain her daughter , Dianna Armijo; granddaughter, Mariah Nuñez; grandson, Caleb Hull; great grandsons, David Tellez, Zaiden Hull, and Jesus Maldonado, and countless nieces, nephews, cousins, in laws, and wonderful friends. Visitation for Granny Bea will begin at 5 p.m. Wednesday, December 18, 2013 in Baca's Chapel of Prayer, 300 E. Boutz Road where the Prayer Vigil is scheduled for 6 p.m. Family and Friends will join together the celebrate the Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 19, 2013 in Our Lord of Mercy Catholic Church, 611 W. Hall with Reverend Guillermo Rivera officiating. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery at which time she will rejoin her husband and son. Serving as casket bearers will be her family, Ron Samaniego, Rudy Samaniego, David Tellez, Victor Lucero, Jamie Carbajal, and Jimmy Perez. Honorary bearers will be Jarret Samaniego, Daniel Samaniego, Andrew Samaniego, Carlos Banuelos, and Austin Diaz. Granny will be missed and her memories will live on in those she blessed.
