Eslie Emerson Brown, 81, of Las Cruces, N.M. passed peacefully into the arms of his loving savior on Monday, Dec. 10 at Mountain View Medical Center surrounded by his wife and many good friends. Eslie was born on Oct 28, 1931 to Cordie and Walter Brown in Carroll County, Ky. He graduated from Carroll County High School in 1950 and then served in the U.S. Navy on submarines for four years. He married Lucille Herron in 1955. He was a truck driver and a farmer and enjoyed woodworking. Eslie was a 57-year member of Carrollton Lodge #134 F&AM in Carrollton, Ky. and a member of Carroll Chapter # 442 Order of Eastern Star, also in Carrollton. He was a member and often pastored Mt. View Christian Church in Las Cruces. He was also the chaplain for the Las Cruces Tea Party. He was well known for his wonderful woodworking at the Saturday morning Craft and Farmers market in Las Cruces. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Joseph Brown. Eslie is survived by his loving wife of 57 years and a host of friends and loved ones. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Dec 16, at 3 p.m. at Mt.
