Casilda Lopez Calderon, 88, of Las Cruces entered eternal life Friday September 14, 2012 at Mountain View Regional Medical Center. She was born April 9, 1924 in Imperial, California to Hilario Lopez and Felipa Ruiz. Mrs. Calderon was a homemaker and member of the Roman Catholic Church. Those left to mourn her passing include two daughters, Rosa C. Munoz, husband Martin and Tomasa C. Gutierrez of Las Cruces; five sons, Pedro Calderon, wife Maria of Vado, Alejandro Calderon, wife Edith of Phoenix, Arizona, Manuel Calderon, Amaro Calderon, wife Lorenza, Arnulfo Calderon and wife Adela , all of Cuidad Juarez. Other survivors include twenty-two grandchildren and thirty-nine great-grandchildren as well as nephew, nieces and many friends. Mrs. Calderon was preceded in death by her husband Antonio Calderon, son Antonio Calderon Jr., and her sister Maria Lopez. Visitation for Mrs. Calderon will begin at 6 PM Monday (Today) September 17, 2012 in Baca's Chapel of Prayer, 300 E. Boutz Road where the Prayer Vigil is scheduled for 7 PM. Family and Friends will join together to celebrate the Funeral Mass at 1 PM Tuesday September 18, 2012 in St. Genevieve's Catholic Church, 100 S. Espina with Reverend Juan Moreno, Celebrant. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at St. Josephs Cemetery where she will be laid to rest. Family members will serve as casket bearers.
