She was born in Runge, Texas on Sept. 20, 1934, the 12th of 13 children, and grew up in San Antonio, Texas attending St. Michaels and Providence High Schools and settled in Las Cruces in 1956 after her marriage to Jim. She was an active parishioner of the Holy Cross Catholic Church where she attended daily mass and served as a lector and a Eucharistic minister. Other interests included reading, doing puzzles, crocheting and traveling, having just completed a 5,000-mile road trip and a cruise to Alaska. She retired many years ago, having last worked at Doña Ana Title Company. She worked many years with Pat Campbell Insurance and also worked with her husband, Jim. She is survived by many family members of several generations including her five children and their spouses, James Jr. and Susan, John and Linda, Jeff and Diana, Pam and Tom Hughan and Jerry and Patricia. She was very proud of her grandchildren Zach, Kolby, John Jr., Jennifer, Jessica, Jerrillyn, Julliana, Josh, Tasha, Tabatha, Amanda, William, Breanne, Casey and especially proud of Kloiee, her great-granddaughter. Surviving siblings are Betty, Helen, EH, Lucy, Ida Mae; a very dear cousin (really a sister and best friend) Liz and countless others. She was preceded in death by her husband James F.
