Emily Good

Emily W. Good of Corvallis, Oregon, passed away on October 2, 2010, on her 84th birthday after a long and happy life. She was born to Kathleen and Howard Jones in Huntsville, Alabama in 1926.
She earned her bachelor's degree at the University of Alabama and her master's degree at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, where she met her beloved husband. Mrs. Good spent most of her adult life in Las Cruces, raising a family with her husband and working as an applied mathematician at the Physical Science Laboratory at New Mexico State University and at White Sands Missile Range. Later in life she was nationally distinguished for her work as a miniaturist, and a permanent collection of her art is now housed at the Toy and Miniature Museum in Kansas City, Missouri.
Mrs. Good was preceded in death by her parents; her sister Edith Ledbetter; her brother Harvie Jones; and her husband William B. Good. Survivors include her brother Howard Jones, Jr. of New Market, Alabama; her daughter and son-in-law Amy and Seven Kunert of Corvallis, Oregon; her daughter Leslie Good of Portland, Oregon; and numerous nieces and nephews. Interment will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Huntsville, Alabama.
