It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend, Enedina Garcia Lopez, 64 of Doña Ana on Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012 at University Medical Center in El Paso, Texas surrounded by her loving family. "Nino", as she was fondly known to family and friends, was born January 12, 1948 in Las Cruces to Manuel D. and Jovita Ramirez Garcia. She was employed at the Holiday Inn as a housekeeper for fifteen years, and was a member of the Roman Catholic Church. Those left to mourn her passing include her loving husband of forty-five years, Baltazar (Walter) Lopez of the family home; one son, Walter Lopez, Jr. and wife Christine of Doña Ana; three daughters, Yvonne Lopez-Trujillo and husband Sergio of Las Cruces, Julia Lopez and companion Tudy Barela, and Nellie Lopez, all also of Doña Ana. Other survivors include one brother, Raymond Castillo; three sisters, Dominga Trujillo, Katy Tameo and Marie Castillo, all of California; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Yolanda Hermosillo and a niece, Yvette Garcia. Visitation for "Nino" will begin at 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22, 2012 at Our Lady of Purification Catholic Church, 5525 Cristo Rey in Doña Ana where the Prayer Vigil is scheduled for 7 p.m.. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012 in the same church with the Reverend Miguel Macaya, Celebrant. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 5140 W. Picacho Avenue where she will be laid to rest. Serving as casket bearers will be Sergio Trujillo, Tudy Barela, James Tovar, Toby and Willie Lopez and Jesse Hermosillo.
