Evelyn Gose Owens, 98, a resident of Silver City, NM, entered eternal life with her Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at Gila Regional Medical Center. She was born August 14, 1915 in San Saba, Texas, to Thomas A. Gose and Elsie Lee Sanderson. She is survived by one brother, Randall Gose and wife Mary Ellen of Silver City; step-children, Conrad Owens and wife Lenee of Sarasota, Fla.; Nan Prall of Albuquerque; two step grand-children, Thomas Drake and Cindy Sorenson of Albuquerque, NM; a great-step-grandson, David Sorenson of Roswell; nieces, Dorothy Braun (Dick) and Jean Laverty (Terry) of Denver, Colo.; Marge Stott (Lloyd) of Choteau, Mont.; Vivian Summey (Rick) of Dallas, Texas; Gail Corondoni (Chris) of Placerville, Calif.; Leanne Ormand (Matt) of Silver City and Ranelle Gose of Silver City; nephews, Grant (Lora) and Charlie (Cheryl) Gose of Silver City; numerous other great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Cullen B. Owens; two brothers, Thomas A. Gose Jr. Seburn S. Gose; three sisters, Lois LeBaron, Elsie Stokes and Mary Bandoni and a step grandchild, Alyssa Owens. A memorial service will be celebrated on Sunday, September 8 at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church with Pastor Gregg Armstrong and Pastor Joseph Gros officiating.
