Guadalupe Guerrero Rodriguez, 73, of Fairacres, entered eternal life to be with her heavenly father on Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, at MountainView Regional Medical Center. She was born Jan. 23, 1939, in Saucillo, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Alejandro and Manuela Armendariz Guerrero. Mrs. Rodriguez was a homemaker and a communicant of the Basilica of San Albino. Those left to mourn her passing include her loving husband, Luis Rodriguez Sr., of the family home; a son, Luis Rodriguez Jr., and wife, Cheryl; two daughters, Lorena Holguin and husband, Mario, and Gladys Chairez and husband, Jaime, all of Las Cruces; three brothers, Jose, Manuel and Rafael Guerrero, all of Saucillo, Chihuahua, Mexico; and a sister, Elena Lozoya, of Las Cruces. Other survivors include five grandchildren, Isabella Marie, Bianca Isela, Sarah Christine, Adrian, and Daniel Alexander, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation for Mrs. Rodriguez will begin at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012, in the Basilica of San Albino, 2290 Calle de Principal in Mesilla, where the prayer vigil is scheduled for 7 p.m. Family and friends will join together to celebrate the funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012, in the same church, with Reverend Richard Catanach officiating. The rite of committal and interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 5140 W. Picacho Ave., where she will be laid to rest. Serving as casket bearers will be Luis Rodriguez Jr., Jaime Chairez, Mario Holguin, Gabriel and Rafael Guerrero, and Fernando Lozoya. Honorary bearers will be Eduardo Lozoya and Rafael Payan.
