Tim Huffman, 47, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2013 in the line of duty near Tacna, Ariz., on I-8. He was born July 11, 1965 in Lansing, Mich. Tim graduated from Silver City High School then received his bachelor's degree from the University of New Mexico-Silver City. He served in the U. S. Army from 1984 to 1992, in the U.S. Army Reserve from 1992 to 2009 and as a D.P.S. officer from 1998 until his passing. He was an NRA member, and of the Arizona Highway Patrolman's Association. Tim's interests include computers and collecting weapons. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed to travel everywhere. Tim is survived by his brothers, Paul (Mary) Huffman of Flowery Branch, Ga., Tom (Christine) Huffman of Beverly Hills, Fla., Warren (Tamara) Huffman of Olivet, Mich.; sister, Lisa (Jesse) Medina of Hollywood, Fla., cousin, Cindy (Fred) Rich of Lansing, Mich.; numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Pam Joan Huffman and grandmother, Mary Lou Komiensku. Services will be held at the Yuma Civic and Convention Center on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at 9 a.m. Final resting place will be Fort Bayard National Cemetery, in Fort Bayard, NM. In lieu of flowers donations can be to Arizona Highway Patrolman's Association (AHPA) and 100 Club of Arizona.
