Isabel A. Albillar, 90, lifelong resident of Mesilla, left her dwelling place on earth and entered eternal life to be with her heavenly Father, Thursday, June 14, 2007 at her home. She was born May 19, 1917 in Mesilla to Pascual and Juanita Ortega Amezola. Mrs. Albillar was a homemaker and a communicant at San Albino Catholic Church.

Survivors include one son-in-law, David T. Ramirez of Mesilla; seven grandchildren, Oscar Ramirez, David Ramirez Jr. and wife Celina, Georgina Ramirez and companion Joaquin Trujillo all of Mesilla, Linda Clark and husband Celso of Fairacres, Alvin Ramirez and wife Shannon of Hobbs, Ida Lopez and husband Edward of Las Cruces, Helen Robles and husband Ralph of Doña Ana; 24 great-grandchildren; 23 great great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Juan Albillar; two daughters, Isabel Albillar and Arciria "Archie" Ramirez; one brother, Meliton Amezola and one sister, Monica Sifuentes.
Visitation for Mrs. Albillar will begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2007 in San Albino Catholic Church, 2090 Calle Principal in Mesilla where the Prayer Vigil is scheduled for 7 p.m. Family and Friends will join together to celebrate the Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2007 in the same church. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 5140 W. Picacho with Monsignor Robert Getz officiating.
Serving as casket bearers will be Tommy, Gabriel and Paul Ramirez, Michael Murphy, Patricio Robles and Eddie Lopez. Honorary bearers will be Celso Clark, Joaquin Trujillo, Ralph Robles and Edward Lopez.
Service arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Baca's Funeral Chapels, 300 E. Boutz Road, Las Cruces. 527-2222.
