Lino J. Jimenez, age 80 of Las Cruces entered eternal life Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013 at La Posada-Mesilla Valley Hospice surrounded by his loving family. He was born Jan. 24, 1932 in Valley Center, Kansas to Delfino G. and Nicolasa Gonzalez Jimenez. Lino served his country honorably in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, retired as a chief financial officer in the health care industry, and was a member of the Roman Catholic Church. Survivors include his loving wife of fifty-four years, Barbara Marshall Jimenez of the family home; two daughters, Pamela Hoffberg and husband Scott of Scottsdale, Arizona and Marlene Barron and husband Cory of St. Louis, Missouri, as well as three grandchildren, Marshall Hoffberg, Abbi and Graci Barron along with thirteen brothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents. At Mr. Jimenez's request cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013 in Baca's Chapel of Prayer, 300 E. Boutz Road with the Reverend Don Adamski officiating. Inurnment of cremains will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers the Jimenez family requests that donations be made to Mesilla Valley Hospice, 299 E. Montana Avenue, Las Cruces, NM 88005.
