Lula May O'Hara Amerson, 88, of Las Cruces, N.M., passed away peacefully at Good Samaritan on Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014. Born in Sand Springs, Okla., on Feb. 5, 1925, Mrs. Amerson worked in sales prior to retirement. She is remembered as being a Renaissance woman with many talents. She lived life fully, loved well, and was devoted to her family. Survivors include: son Robert Layne and wife, Leticia Hair; daughter, Jacque Hair-Garner and husband, Lou Garner; and stepdaughter Gina Amerson-Willis. Grandchildren are Steve Walden, Lynn Dize, Steve Smith, Bobby Hair, Pamela Busch, Michael Hair, Cody Busch, Emily Walton-Mitchell and 13 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Euell "Amos" Amerson, and her children Elmer Lee Logsdon and Judy Katherine Logsdon Huff. A graveside service will be held at the Masonic Cemetery at 3 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Linda Mervine officiating.
