Mary Rodriguez Obituary
Mary A. Rodriguez, 35, of Las Cruces, New Mexico passed away on Monday, April 18, 2011 surrounded by family. She was born February 10, 1976 in Las Cruces to Irene and Nicolas C. Rodriguez. Mary will be remembered by all that knew her as an inspiration. We will also remember how she taught us to never give up, regardless of the odds. Her incredible spirit will forever remain in our hearts and in our memory. Mary's fight against cancer will always continue through her family and friends, whom will serve as advocates for finding a cure.

She is survived by her long-time companion Gene Watkins and their children, Raven Watkins and Anduin Watkins. Parents Irene Rodriguez and Nicolas C. Rodriguez, brother, Nicolas J. Rodriguez and his wife Deana, sister, Theresa Hyman and her husband David, mother in law, Janie Moore, father in law, Ronnie A. Watkins and his wife, Sherry, brother in law Ronnie E. Watkins and Joel Goss and his wife Sherri. Grandparents, Lalo and Adela Rodriguez, among with numerous aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Steven Rodriguez and brother in law Jeff Watkins. Services will be held Monday, April 25, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Holy Family Ecumenical Catholic Church, 702 Parker Road, Las Cruces, NM, service will by officiated by Father Jim Lehman. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Mesilla Valley Hospice or the Sea Turtle Rescue Foundation at as Mary had a great love for turtles. The family would like to thank all of the nurses and staff at La Posada Mesilla Vally Hospice, the Village of Northrise and Mountain View Regional Medical Center for the love and care they gave to Mary and her family during such a difficult time.
