Patricia E. (O'Hair) Duke went home to be with her Lord on Aug. 4, 2012, in the comfort of her home in Las Cruces, N.M. under the loving care of her family due to complications resulting form the early onset of Alzheimer's disease. Patty was born Sept. 26, 1939, and raised in Toledo, Ohio, by her parents Everett and Elma O'Hair (both deceased). Patty had a younger brother, Mike (also deceased). She has been a resident, along with her husband, of Las Cruces, N.M. since 1996. Patty was a graduate of Clay High School of Oregon, Ohio (Class of '57) and of the Toledo Hospital School of Nursing (1960). She later received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Loretta Heights College, now Regis University, in Denver, Colo. She was a devoted wife and mother as well as a professional nurse. Active in church work, Patty was blessed with many talents in crafts, sewing and music. Patty is survived by her husband, William G. Duke, and three daughters, Dawn Schreckengost of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Paige Marino of Sandwich, Ma.; and Jill Duke, of Las Cruces, N.M., as well as five grandchildren. Patty will be buried in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park in Toledo, Ohio, alongside her parents at her request. Visitation for Patty will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012, with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 12 p.m. in University Presbyterian Church, 2010 Wisconsin Ave. in Las Cruces, NM, 575- 522-0828, with the Rev. John Pickett officiating.Visitation and funeral services will also be held in Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, Ohio 43616; (419)-698-4301. Visitation will be held Friday, Aug. 10, 2012, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, at 10 a.m. in the same chapel followed by a graveside burial service at Ottawa Hills Cemetery in Toledo, Ohio.
