Pedro D. Almaguer, 62, of Las Cruces entered eternal life Monday, May 27, 2013 at his home. He was born April 4, 1951 to Francisco and Jesusita Duran in Mesilla. Pedro was a truck driver by trade and more recently was employed by a security guard. He was a member of the Catholic Church. Those left to mourn his passing include a daughter, Christina Lechuga and her daughters, Melody, Michelle and Gracie Ybarra, all of Las Cruces; stepdaughter, Alma Soto of Mexico; his father, Francisco Almaguer of El Paso, Texas; a brother, Guadalupe Almaguer and wife Terry and their sons, Joshua Almaguer and David Enriquez; two sisters, Florencia Avalos and husband Don and their sons, Thomas and Daniel Avalos, Candie Guerra and her children, Jesus Guerra, Jeremy Gayton and Santana Villarreal, all of Las Cruces. He was preceded in death by his mother, aunts and uncles. At Pedro's request cremation has taken place and a memorial mass will be held Saturday (today), June 8, 2013 at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral, 1240 S. Espina with Rev.
