Phillip Edward Horton passed away suddenly Friday, Oct. 12, in Las Cruces to be with God and our Savior, due to a short but unexpected illness. He was born Jan. 7, 1940 in Springer N.M. Mr. Horton served in the US Army and owned/operated his Electrical Contractor business in Albuquerque and Silver City , moving to Las Cruces to retire with his wife Marcia Ann Bollman Horton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Allene, and brother Dick. He is survived by his wife, Marcia and 6 children. David Phillip, Patrick Lee and wife Sondra, Guy Wesley and his wife Aletha, Julie Ann Perks and her husband Jerry, Brian Allen Bartlett and his wife Gena, and Thomas Allen Bollman. His 12 grandchildren, Will, Kolton, Kaiden, Kade, Kase, Candice, Sean, Kelly, Grace, Ashley, Nicole and Danielle. Sisters Linda Lundeen and husband Jerry, Charlene Horton and sister-in-law Dona. Nieces and Nephews Terri, Scott, Lori, Tom, Kathleen, Gered and Lydia . Phillip was an exceptionally loving and giving man that showed through his wife, children, grandchildren and family. Anyone could count on him for a helping hand. He had a passion for the game of golf. His sons Patrick and Guy were able to fulfill a life time dream by taking him to the Masters at Augusta. We give thanks to God that Phil was in our lives to show the loving example of a Husband, Dad, Grandpa, Brother, Uncle and Friend that will be cherished.
