Our beloved, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt, Rachel Carabajal, 53, of Las Cruces entered eternal life on Sunday, June 15, 2014 at Memorial Medical Center. She was born June 12, 1961 in Las Cruces to Lupe P. and Gloria Hernandez Carabajal. Rachel served her country honorably in the United States Army during Desert Storm. Those left to mourn her passing include a son, Brian Carabajal (Ashley) and their children, Nyasia and Tino Ray; a daughter, Andrea Carabajal (Nicholas) and their children, Mileena, Ezekiel and Josiah; her mother, Gloria H. Carabajal; a brother, Victorio Carabajal; two sisters, Amada Estrada all of Las Cruces, Dolores Laveque (John) of San Antonio, Texas. Other survivors include three nephews Frank Rayos, Earl Lyle Ebner, and Stephan Cordero (Kayla); a niece, Amada Rose Ebner (Danny); four great nephews, Nathaniel, Xavier and Jonathan Ebner, and Nicholas Cordero; a great niece, Danielle Ebner. She was preceded in death by her father. Visitation for Rachel will begin at 1 PM Monday, June 23, 2014 in Baca's Chapel of Prayer, 300 E. Boutz Road where the Funeral Service will follow at 2 PM. Military honors will be accorded by a Fort Bliss Honor Guard and the Marine Corps League – El Perro Diablo Detachment. Cremation will take place and Inurnment of Cremains will take place at a later date.
