Ramon "Mon" Serna Silva, 66 peacefully passed away to be with our heavenly father surrounded by his loved ones on May 6th 2014. He was born on December 30, 1946 in Hatch, NM to Juan B. Silva and Maria S. Silva who both preceded him in death. Left to cherish his memories are his wife Nicolasa Silva and his children Cindy Silva Medina and her husband Randy Medina, Ramon Silva Jr., Juan Silva and his wife Hopie, Marissa Cortez and her husband Andrew Cortez, Alejandra Romero, Monico Romero, Manuel Romero, 19 grandchildren, six brothers, five sisters, and many nephews and nieces, cousins and friends. He served his country honorably as a U.S. Marine in Vietnam. He retired from Santa Fe Railroad after 32 years of service. Some of the fondest memories we have of "Mon" is his love of life, his sense of humor, his generosity, kind heart, love of music and dancing, and most importantly his love for his family.His laughter and smile will be remembered always. We Love you "Mon" and we will miss you. Services will be held at Our Lady of Mercy in Hatch, NM. Visitation on May 12th from 6pm to 7pm with a holy rosary following at 7:00pm.Funeral Mass will be held on May 13th at 10am, then he will be laid to rest in Hatch Garden of Memories.
