It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle Remigio F. Sanchez of Derry, New Mexico. Remigio passed away peacefully at his home in Derry on October 3, 2013. Remigio was born in Berino, New Mexico to Silvestre and Soledad Sanchez on October 2nd 1934. Remigio was a man of many talents. You could always find him welding something in his little wooden building. He also was a skilled electrician and handy man in his former days. The Joy of his life was his grandson Jesus Maldonado. You could always find him making something for him to play with. Remigio will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Remigio is survived by his loving wife Guadalupe Sanchez, daughter Anna Maldonado and husband Jesus Maldonado of the family home. He is also survived by his special and loving grandson Jesus Moldonado also of the family home. Remigio also leaves behind his loving sister Micaela Sanchez of Derry, NM. Remigio also leaves behind many nephews and nieces who loved and cherished him very much. All of us carry a special part of him in our heats. He will always live on in all of our live. He will always live in all of those who loved him. Remigio was predeceased by his parents, his sister Elpidia Gutierrez and his brothers Manuel F. Sanchez and Santiago F. Sanchez. Rosary and Funeral for Remigio will be held at St. San Isidro Catholic Church in Garfield, NM, on Tuesday October 8th 2013 with the visitation from 8 to 9 a.m. Rosary starting at 9 a.m. then mass to follow at 10 a.m. Remigio will be laid to rest at the cemetery in Garfield near his parents, sister and brother. Pallbearers are Bruce Redd, Albert Sanchez, Sergio Maldonado, Edmund Ogaz, Pete Morales, and Steve Lucero. Honorary is Kiko Flores, Ruben Garcia, Manuel Lara, Adalfo Varela, Jose Covarrubias II, Isavel Maldonado, and Daniel Gutierreze. Services have been entrusted to La Paz-Grahams Funeral Home at 555 West Amador Avenue Las Cruces, New Mexico 88005.
