Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Romelia C. Apodaca, 80, of Las Cruces left her dwelling place on earth and entered eternal life to be with her heavenly Father on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at the Heritage Assisted Living. She was born June 21, 1932 in La Mesa to Eusebio and Tomasa Lujan Corral. Mrs. Apodaca was a homemaker and a communicant at Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral. Those left to mourn her passing include five sons, Esteban Apodaca of San Angelo, Texas, David Lee Apodaca of Greenfield, Indiana, Robert Eugene and Theodore Patrick Apodaca both of Las Cruces, and Frederick Joseph Apodaca of Albuquerque; two daughters, Theresa Ann Apodaca also of Albuquerque, Sharon Elizabeth Sample of Tucson, Arizona; three brothers, Rudy and Manuel Corral both of San Antonio, Texas and Armando Corral of Oklahoma. Other survivors include nine grandchildren; a great grandchild as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Toribio Apodaca and a brother, Lino Corral. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held Monday, April 29, 2013 in Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral, 1240 S. Espina. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at 10 AM in the same church with Reverend Martin Cornejo officiating. Inurnment of Cremains will follow at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Columbarium. Family has requested that in lieu of flowers donation by made in Romelia's memory to the
