Sharon Ann Collet, 65, a resident of Hurley, N.M., entered eternal rest Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, at Mountain View Regional Medical Center in Las Cruces, N.M. She was born Dec. 4, 1948, in Prescott, Ariz., to Earl and Mary Ann Matley Hendricks. She had been a Grant County resident for over 30 years. She had a passion for outdoor walks, camping and especially our local forest and river. She had a love for life, her family and friends and very much loved animals. She enjoyed a simple life and appreciated the simple things: morning coffee, family safe within her home, silly hidden object games and reading her books. She is survived by two sons, Jason Collet and wife, Kathryn, of Deming; Joshua Collet and companion, Ashley, of Grand Canyon, Ariz.; two grandchildren, Dominic and Ember; four brothers, John Schones and wife,Valerie, of Tucson, Ariz.; John Nevitt of Oracle, Ariz.; Lee Amick of Safford, Ariz.; and Matt Schones of Tucson. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters, Earlene and Edna. A celebration of life service will take place on Saturday, Feb. 1 at 2 p.m. at Terrazas Funeral Chapels,with Greg Burchfield officiating.
