Estanislada "Tanis" Quesada Pearce, age 89, of Las Cruces entered eternal life Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Casa de Oro Care Center surrounded by her loving family. "Tanis", as she was fondly known to family and friends, was born May 7, 1924 in Esperanza, Texas to Juan and Ebarista Juarez Quesada. She worked at the Christian Child Care Nursery as a cook for many years and was a member of the First Assembly of God. Survivors include four daughters, Lidia Diaz and husband David of Doña Ana, Manuela "Bonnie" Marquez and Gloria M. Perea both of Las Cruces, and Mary Vasquez of Riverside CA; two brothers, Loretto Quesada and wife Celia and Juan Quesada and wife Elisa, a half-brother, Toribio Iglesias; three sisters, Maria Chavira, Adelina Arzate, Manuela Rodriguez and husband Manuel; a nephew, Raul De Leon and niece, Hilda Ha. Other survivors include, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, as well as numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins. Tanis was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Ramon Marquez, second husband, Nathan Pearce, a son, Joe Q. Marquez and his wife Emily, a brother, Alfredo Quesada and two sisters, Luz Robles and Pilar Juarez. Visitation for Mrs. Pearce will begin at 10 AM Monday, April 21, 2014 at the First Assembly of God, 5605 Bataan Memorial West where the Funeral Service is scheduled for 11 AM with Pastor Nathan Gonzalez officiating. Concluding Service and Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 5140 W. Picacho Avenue where she will be laid to rest.
