Petra Onitveros Aldaz, age 95, of Tucson, Arizona entered eternal life Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Life Care Center of Tucson surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 1, 1919 in Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico to Jose and Adela Guzman Ontiveros. Petra lived in Anthony until the death of her husband then relocated to Tucson, Arizona. She was a homemaker and a member of the Roman Catholic Church. Those left to mourn her passing include two sons, Tony Aldaz and wife Irma; Paul Aldaz and wife Michelle; a daughter Enedina Tellez and a granddaughter raised as a daughter, Laura Rivas all of Tucson, Arizona. Other survivors include five grandchildren, Mariana, Marissa, Antonio, Jr, Nathaniel and Danielle Aldaz all also of Tucson. Petra was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Baltazar Aldaz. Visitation for Mrs. Aldaz will begin at 9 AM Monday, June 23, 2014 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 224 Lincoln Avenue in Anthony where the Prayer Vigil is scheduled for 10 AM. The Holy Mass of Resurrection will celebrated immediately thereafter with the Fathers of the Augustinian Recollects officiating. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow in Anthony Catholic Cemetery where she will be laid to rest alongside her husband. Serving as casket bearers will be family members.
