Our beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Isaac Villanueva Peña, age 87, of Las Cruces entered eternal life to be with his heavenly Father on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 3, 1927 in Parral, Chihuahua, Mexico to Guadalupe and Julia Villanueva Peña. Isaac retired as a meat cutter from Las Cruces Meats and was a member of the Roman Catholic Church.
Those left to mourn his passing include five sons, Julio Peña (Hermelinda), Isaac Peña (Irma), Hector Peña (Dora), Ruben Peña (Irene), and Gerardo Peña (Luz Elena); two daughters, Ana Romero (Jose German), Monica Carbajal (Luis); two brothers, Jesus Peña (Luz), Guadalupe Peña; two sisters, Victoria and Susana Peña. Other survivors include eighteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Isaac was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Ana Muñoz Peña on February 2, 2014, and a brother, Ignacio Peña.
Visitation for Mr. Peña will begin at 9:30 AM Tuesday, August 26, 2014 in Baca's Chapel of Prayer, 300 E. Boutz Road where the Funeral Service is scheduled to begin at 10 AM with Reverend Alejandro Reyes officiating. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow in the Doña Ana Cemetery where he will be laid to rest alongside his wife.
Serving as casket bearers will be his grandsons.
