Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, Guerrero G. Valenzuela, 85, of Dona Ana left his dwelling place on earth and entered eternal life on Saturday October 30, 2010 at Casa de Oro Nursing Home. Mr. Valenzuela was born March 6, 1925 to Evaristo and Guadalupe Gomez Valenzuela in Santa Barbara, Chihuahua, Mexico. He was a member of the Catholic Church.

Those left to mourn his passing include his loving wife Epigmenia Valenzuela; one daughter, Guadalupe V. Aragon, both of Dona Ana; one sister, Teresa Rodriguez of Ontario, California. Other survivors include four grandchildren; Rudy Aragon of Alamogordo, Rebecca Aragon of Northern, New Mexico, Yolanda Aragon of Las Cruces and Connie Silva and husband Jimmy of Alamogordo; five great-grandchildren, Andrew and Destiny Aragon, Isaac and Joel Apodaca and Emry Arvizu as well as three great-great grandchildren; Joseph Melendrez , Gabriela and Isaiah Aragon and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and five sisters.
Visitation for Mr. Valenzuela will begin at 8 AM Tuesday November 2, 2010 in Our Lady of Purification Catholic Church where the Rosary is scheduled for 9 AM. Family and friends will join to celebrate the Funeral Liturgy immediately following with Reverend Miguel Macaya officiating. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow in the Dona Ana Cemetery where he will be laid to rest.
Serving as casket bearers will be Andrew Aragon, Joel Apodaca, Danny and David Valenzuela, Laurencio Torres and Jimmy Silva.
