Terrance "Terry" D. Patterson passed away at his home in Las Cruces on March 9, 2012 after a long illness. He was born November 29, 1963 in Albuquerque, NM to Roger K. and Sherrill L. Patterson. Terry graduated from High School in Grants, NM in 1981. After high school, he attended New Mexico State University from where he received a BS in Business. He worked for UPS for fourteen years then became a licensed plumber and contractor, working for several companies before establishing his own business, Wagner Mechanical in 2004. Terry had a love for the outdoors and a love of New Mexico. He was an avid backpacker, hunter, fisherman and loved to hike in the Gila Wilderness and adventure off on dirt bikes or ATV's. Terry is survived by a daughter, Tori Rae Patterson of Portales, NM; his father, Roger Patterson of Las Cruces; a sister, Dr. Kelsey Bookmyer and husband, Dr. Brad Bookmyer of Austin, TX; two uncles, Dean Patterson of Olathe, KS, Dr. Dennis Wagner and wife Carol of Tillamook, OR. Other survivors include his cousins, Toby Wagner and wife Maureen of Beaverton, OR, Audrey Wagner of Portland, OR, Jackie Hyde of Oakland, OR, Dr. Paul Wagner and wife Karen of Alamosa, CO, Bob Gillingham and wife Rhonda of El Segundo, CA, Richard Patterson and wife Silvia of The Woodlands, TX, Shirley Johnson of Axtel, TX and Barbara Sherrod of Springfield, MO. He was preceded in death by his mother; his uncle, Terry Patterson; his maternal grandparents, Dave and Charlyn Wagner. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 10 AM in Baca's Chapel of Prayer, 300 E. Boutz Road. Inurnment of cremains will take place at a later date.
