Jessica Ruth Caroe, 26, died on May 22, 2012. Jessica was the daughter of Dr. Alan Caroe and Karen Walker Caroe of Las Cruces, New Mexico. Jessica was born December 30, 1985. She was homeschooled throughout her primary and secondary years. Jessica went on to Georgetown University where she graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in 2006. Following internships with US Senator Rick Santorum and with the United States Justice Department, Jessica taught elementary school with Teach for America in Houston, Texas. Jessica rose to become Development Director for YES Prep Public Schools, a charter system for underprivileged students in Houston. Jessica was also a member of Christ the King Church in Houston. At the time of her death, Jessica had completed the first year of the MBA program at the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. She had accepted a position with Georgia Pacific Corporation in Atlanta, GA. Jessica died in a traffic accident alongside her fiancé and the love of her life, Robert Storrs of, Orlando, FL. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Harold and Mary Walker and Ed and Pat Caroe. She is survived by her parents, Karen and Alan; her siblings, Amanda Hill and husband Josh, Austin Caroe, Nathaniel Caroe, Stephen Caroe, Kimberly Caroe, Lydia Caroe, and Daniel Caroe. She is also survived by Aunt Ruth Ann Walker Hurab and Husband Mahmood, Aunt Gail and husband Greg Lyssy, Uncle Carl Caroe and wife Mary, and many cousins who loved and adored her. Services for Jessica will be held Monday, May 28th at 10:00 am at Getz Funeral Home, 1410 E. Bowman Ave, Las Cruces, New Mexico. Following the services in New Mexico, Jessica will be moved to Cassselberry, Florida. On Wednesday, May 30th, a funeral will be held for Robert Storrs. Immediately following the services for Robert, Graveside services will be held jointly for Robert and Jessica at All Faiths Cemetery where they will be interred together.
