Henry Hosford

Obituary Condolences

Henry C. Hosford, M.D. passed away on June 13, 2012. He was a life-long resident of New Mexico. He had been a resident of Las Cruces, N.M., since 1967, and before that, a resident of Alamogordo, N.M., and Las Vegas, N.M. He is survived by his second wife, Susie Hosford, his brother, Philip Hosford, and his sons, Henry C. Hosford, Jr., Stephen Hosford, and Russell Hosford, and two step-daughters, Jane Wiant and Nancy Moore. Dr. Hosford was born in 1923. He attended high school in Las Vegas, N.M., and married his high school sweetheart, Margaret McWenie, in 1945. They were married until her death in 1992 from cancer. Thereafter, he married Susie Phillips Gregory in 1993. They were happily married until his recent death. Dr. Hosford was a World War II veteran and served in the United States Army as a paratrooper. He was awarded the Bronze Star. After the war, he attended Washington University Medical School in St. Louis, Miss., and received his medical degree. After medical school and further training, Dr. Hosford and his wife, Margaret Hosford, moved back to Las Vegas, N.M.
