Patricia Johnson Obituary
Patricia Jane Isgreen Johnson, 89, has peacefully left this life on Wednesday, June 20, 2012. She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Lee Johnson. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1922 to Dr. Emil and Antomina Isgreen. She was preceded in death by her parents and all her siblings, Dr. E. Paul Isgreen, Mary Isgreen Doran, Louise Isgreen Eastin, and Dr. John Isgreen. She was part of a group of eight girls who began a friendship in kindergarten that continued through college graduation and for the rest of their lives. She graduated from East High School in Salt Lake City and from the University of Utah, where she received a bachelor of science degree in medical technology. She was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority and a member of the honorary Spur Marching Club. She worked as a certified medical technologist in Berkley, Calif., Seattle, Wash., Salt Lake City, Utah, and Silver City. She was married to Robert Lee Johnson in Salt Lake City on Sept. 9. 1946. She is the wonderful mother of five children, Alice Kristina Johnson Moody (Greg), Thomas Lee Johnson (Joan), Elizabeth "Betsy" Jane Johnson Mullen (Gerry), Mary Louise Johnson LeCheminant (Doug), and Jennifer Marie Johnson Hubbard (Barry). She has 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Two grandchildren preceded her in death, Rachel Marie Moody and Christopher Lee Johnson. Mrs. Johnson was always active in promoting community and church activities. She was a past member of AAUW and WAAIME, and served as a volunteer for the March of Dimes. She was an excellent seamstress, knitted sweaters for family members, enjoyed tying quilts and made quilts for every grandchild. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many leadership positions and supported countless activities in the church. She counted her friendships as a priceless gift. Her greatest calling in life was the careful care of her home and family. Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be family members. Funeral services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Swan Street on Saturday, June 23, at 2 p.m. Bright Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements, "Traditional Services and Care for Your Family and Friends," 210 W.
