It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, son, nephew and friend, Andrew Joey Sedillo, 50, of Las Cruces on Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born Feb. 5, 1962 in Albuquerque. Andrew served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during Desert Storm, and was a groundskeeper at Somona Ranch. He was a communicant of Holy Cross Catholic Church. Those left to mourn his passing include his loving wife, Mercie Reyes Sedillo of the family home; two sons, Joseph Sedillo of Albuquerque, Ronnie Ray Sedillo of Las Cruces; a daughter, Kartina Sedillo also of Albuquerque; his father, Frank Dominguez of San Miguel; his mother, Julie R. Dominguez of Las Cruces. Other survivors include his grandchildren; his mother-in-law, Martha L. Reyes; brother-in-law, Raúl Rivas; sister-in-law, Patricia Delgado and husband, Cosme Sr., all of Las Cruces; his maternal grandmother, Aurelia Arrey of Arrey; his loving dogs, Leo, Lilo and Princess as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Marvin Dominguez and Leonard Sedillo; his father-in-law, Gregorio C. Reyes and his maternal grandfather, Guadalupe Arrey. Visitation for Andrew will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012 in Baca's Chapel of Prayer, 300 E. Boutz where the prayer vigil is scheduled for 7 p.m. Family and friends will join together to celebrate the funeral mass at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, 2012 in Holy Cross Catholic Church, 1327 N. Miranda with Monsignor John E. Anderson officiating. The rite of committal and interment will follow in the San Miguel Cemetery with military honors accorded by a New Mexico National Guard Honor Guard and the Marine Corps League- El Perro Diablo Detachment. Serving as casket bearers will be Sal Lopez, Ruben Castillo, Cosme Delgado Jr., Brent Stevens, Jerome and Larry Arrey.
