Paul Charles Novotny, 89, a resident of Silver City, N.M. entered eternal rest Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012 at Sunset Vista Residential Care in Silver City. He was born July 8, 1923 to John and Paul Petrovas Novotny. He loved the outdoors. He is survived by one son, Michael Novotny and wife Sally of Milpitas, Calif.; three daughters, Nichole Walker of Carlsbad, N.M.; Kathy Pohl of Raton, N.M.; Deborah MacIvor and husband John of Springerville, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, John and Lodge Novotny; one sister, Angela Petrovas; one grandson, Eric Novotny; and son-in-law, Ralph Walker. A memorial service will be celebrated on Friday, Nov. 2, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with Pastor Andy Housley officiating. In lieu of flowers family requests donations be made to the High Desert Humane Society, 3050 S. Cougar Way, Silver City, NM 88061. Cremation will take place at Terrazas Crematory.
