Paula Aragon Melendez, 85, of El Bosque left her dwelling place on earth and entered eternal life to be with her heavenly Father, Saturday, January 12, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 13, 1927 in Guadalupe, Chihuahua, Mexico to Candelario Aragon and Josefa Garcia. Mrs. Melendez was a homemaker and member of the Catholic Church. Those left to mourn her passing include two sons, Andres Melendez Jr. and wife Carmen, Arturo Melendez and wife Gloria all of Anthony; two daughters, Josie Dominguez and husband Lorenzo of Berino, Maria Carreon of El Bosque; a sister, Julia Aragon of El Paso, Texas. Other survivors include ten grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Andres Melendez Sr. Visitation for Mrs. Melendez will begin at 6 PM Monday, January 14, 2013 in St. Anthony Catholic Church, 224 Lincoln Avenue where the Prayer Vigil is scheduled for 7 PM. Family and Friends will join together to celebrate the Funeral Mass at 10 AM Tuesday, January 15, 2013 in the same church with Reverend Andres Alava officiating. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow in the Berino Cemetery where she will be laid to rest. Serving as casket bearers will be Marcos, Gabriel, and Lorenzo Martin Dominguez Jr., Arturo Jr. and Andres Melendez III, Adrian and Hector Carreon, and Reymundo Vega. Honorary bearers will be Michael Vega, Oscar Lopez, Lisandra Corral, Arlene and Carmen C. Melendez.
