Lydia V. Lopez, 69, a resident of Las Cruces, N.M. entered eternal rest on Feb. 23, 2013 at Mesilla Valley Hospice. Lydia was born in El Paso, Texas on April 20, 1943 to Francisca Holguin Martos. She is survived by her husband, Henry Lopez, and children, all of Las Cruces, David Nunez (Nancy), Terry Enriquez (Mario); and grandchildren Mario Enriquez, Jr. and Alyssa Josephine Nunez; stepchildren, George Lopez (Barbara), Becky Fagan (James) of Las Cruces, and Henry Lopez Jr. (Isabelle) of Los Banos, Calif. ; step-grandchildren, Cassandra and Dwayne Davidson, Sophia Fagan, Jonathan, Lea and Nathan Lopez; nieces, Carmen Alicia Lucero (Arturo) and Socorro Carranza of El Paso. She was preceded in death by her mother, sister, Carmen Uribarri, (Roberto) of El Paso, her brother, Armando Martos of Cuidad Juarez, Chihuahua; stepsons Jaime Lopez and Arturo Lopez. Viewing will be on Tuesday Feb. 26, 2013 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral from 9:30-10 a.m., with the holy rosary beginning at 10 a.m. recited by Deacon Ed Misquez. Mass will follow immediately with Fr. Ray Flores officiating. Burial will follow at Masonic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Good Samaritan Society Las Cruces Village or Mesilla Valley Hospice.
