Leonard Sellers Obituary
Leonard Charles Sellers, 61, of Las Cruces passed away peacefully on March 14, 2013. He was born Sept. 11, 1951 in Las Cruces to Joe and Mary Herrod Sellers. Leonard was a loving father and grandfather. Survivors include his companions, Cherri Wright of Denver, Colo.; Judy Garner of Las Cruces; five children, Willie Ray, Brad, Bruce, Maurice and Renea; 11 grandchildren; four brothers, Job Bob Sellers and wife Mary of Las Cruces, Jonny (Hammer) Sellers and wife Ruth of El Centro, Calif., Howard Sellers and wife Alice James of El Paso, Texas, and Lloyd Sellers and wife Rose, also of Las Cruces. Other survivors include his nieces, Glenda Sellers and Diana Sellers, both of Lexington, Ky., Shirlene Sellers and Helen Revels, both of Las Cruces as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, family and friends. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Sr. and Mary D. Sellers; brother, Willie Ray Sellers; and two nieces, Elaine Fuentes Sellers and Toni Beth Amphran. A visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2013 in Latter Rain Harvest Fellowship Church, the corner of Water Street and Court where the home going service to begin at 2 p.m. with Pastor Mary Sellers officiating. A private memorial service will be held at a later date in the Masonic Cemetery. The honor of being a casket bearers and honorary bearer will go to members of Charles' family. The Sellers family would like to thank all the wonderful people who have been an important part of Charles' life over the years. A special thanks to the staff of Memorial Medical Center, Ikard Cancer Center of Las Cruces and Mesilla Valley Hospice.
