Our beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend Guadalupe (Lupe) Pedraza Carabajal, 69, entered eternal life at his home in Vado, N.M. on April 6, 2013. He was born on April 29, 1943 to Felipe and Angelita Carabajal in Tortugas, N.M. At a young age of 16, he stated his career at New Mexico State University and retired as a heavy equipment operator after serving 35 years. His family will always remember him as a strong loving kind-hearted individual who took great pride in passing on his knowledge and wisdom. He was an avid hunter and fisherman which was his greatest passion in life. Those left to cherish his memory are his children Rachel Carabajal, Amada C. Estrada, Dolores Levesque and her husband John, Victorio Carabajal; his six grandchildren, Amada Rose and her husband Danny, Brian and his wife Ashley, Earl Jr., Andrea and her husband Nick, Stephan and his wife Kayla; eight great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Nathaniel, Xavier, Daneal, Mileena, Nicholas, Nyasia and Ezekiel; his siblings, Fermina Paz, Carolina Carabajal, Vina Carabajal, Margie Carbajal of Tortugas, Ernestina Carabajal of Las Cruces, N.M. and José Carabajal of Gilroy, Calif. He is received into the arms of Our Creator and reunited with his two sisters, Rosa Apodaca and Carmen C. Orta; and brother Felipe Carabajal. Visitation will be on Wednesday April 10, 2013 at Getz Funeral Home from 6 - 7 p.m. with a prayer vigil to follow at 7 p.m. At his request, cremation will follow the services.
