Together we held hands as you went to be with our Lord. John Marshall Ericsson, 64, passed away peacefully and without pain at Memorial Medical Center on Friday, May 3, 2013. John was born July 19, 1948, to Eric and Greta Ericsson in Gainesville, Fla. He was born into a military family, so he lived in many states and overseas before calling Las Cruces his home. He was a residential/ land appraiser by trade and was known to many in the industry as dedicated and professional. You could always tell John was present by his loud, deep, rich voice that always brought a smile. He leaves behind his wife, Roe Jean (Jeannie); daughters Liberty Ann Riser (Jeff) and Crystal Rae Baker (Dexter); and son Christopher Fitzgerald (Nancy). Grandchildren include Dexter IV, McKayla, Ally, Samantha, Journey and Jake of the Baker home; Ryan of the Riser home; Hanna and Emily of the Fitzgerald home; and numerous nieces and nephews. Other survivors include brothers, Charles Ericsson (Joyce), Eric Jr., Victor and Robert (Faith). He was preceded in death by his parents whom he joins.
