George Joseph Fields was called home on the afternoon of Oct. 3, 2013 at 72 years young in his home in Las Cruces. George passed sounded by his wife and daughter after a three year battle with cancer, which he bravely fought with dignity and grace. George was born in Oceanside, New York on Feb. 5, 1941 to Katherine Louise Fields and George Timothy Fields, who proceeded him in death. George is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Nancy Fields, and two devoted children, Kimberly (Jason) Fields-Reynolds, of Broomfield, Colo. and George (Stevie) Fields, of Colorado Springs, Colo. George was blessed with one handsome grandson, Benjamin Reynolds, whom he cherished. He also leaves behind his beloved sister, Joan Klos and her family, as well as loved brother-in-law George Brickley and his family. George was a accomplished CFO with Cooper Labs, previous to Cooper he was in public accounting. He was in the U.S. Navy as an officer after graduating form Villanova University. George was an avid traveler with his wife; they loved to cruise the world. Please join us for the wake services of George J. Fields on Tuesday Oct. 8, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. at La Pas- Graham Mortuary. Funeral Mass at Holy Cross Church will be on Wednesday Oct. 9 at 10:30 am. Followed by a burial at Hill Crest Cemetary.
