Memories and Condolences
for Robert Clark

Not sure what to say?

My Bobby boy, you have no idea how much I miss having you in my life. You have been like a step-father to me for many many years. You have been around and supported me through all of the stages of life that I experienced from a little girl all the way up to the 27 year old woman I am today. I cannot thank you enough for the positive impact you have made in my family's life. You loved my mom so much and took care of her and that meant the world to me. There are so many things that I will miss about you, and already do. I loved listening to your voicemails on my moms phone, or even my phone, they always made me laugh. Your famous voicemail you used repeatedly was, "Hello this is Robert Clark. Your phone is telling me that you are not available at this time and I should leave my name and number," and then you would proceed with your phone numbers. I will never forget the fun times we had when you came over, especially those few times we talked you in to playing the WII. We will forever have your character saved in our system, it looks just like you. I will never forget our beach trips and other various vacations we took together as a family. You can't have a family without drama, but we all ended up laughing in the end. You have been a main support system for me for almost my whole life, and I will be forever grateful for that. You will never be forgotten and will always be in my heart. Keep shining down on us Bobith, please help watch over my mom, and know that I will always love you! You could be a crazy one, and I loved every minute of it! Always the center of attention. Rest in Peace Robert, until we meet again!

Robert - from my youngest days to recent times 14 years later, I came to respect and value our relationship. You've done so much for me personally as I grew up and were a true inspiration to me in many good, unorthodox and humorous ways! The joy and unending kindness you shared with my Mother Liz, sister Tara, as well as my entire family is to be treasured forever. We've shared a lot of fun times I will remember forever! I'll never forget wrestling in the snow at midnight, you laying on the sidewalk to see eye-to-eye with our iguana who by the way whipped you upside your head on another occasion, the countless 4x4 drives we took behind Mom's back, etc., etc. May you RIP forever. We love you and will miss you. Our only peace is knowing you're in the hands of the Lord now. Condolences to your family, friends and PSP family who will greatly miss your superb forensic abilities!

This is a great tribute to the legacy that Bob left not only as a police officer but more importantly as a friend.
Bob not only taught others about good police work, he also taught people to care for one another and that is the greatest gift he left us all.
Clarky thanks for the memories we shared and your caring spirit.

Bobby;

You were just a rookie when we first worked together in the HBG ID Unit. I then retired and you took over.

Well, I want everyone to know you became a lot better ID officer then I ever was. You deserved all the respect that you received and more. I especially liked it when you became a certified cow nose print examiner,. Only you Bobby could have handled that.

I couldn't admit to you then how good you were, but now I'm sure you know how I feel. I had great times with you and the others at Camp Cadet and the FOP meetings and conferences.

Wish I could come over and pay my last respects, but with age comes doctors visits and I have two of them today.

You will be well remembered for your character and the funny things that would happen around you.

May god keep you close at hand. You were always one of my special fiends.

Clarky was unfortunate enough to be assigned to his first ID case assisting me at the State Mental Hospital, many years ago. His early transistion from farm country was one of disbelief, amazement and sometine embarrasment for him. His early naive manner was magnetic and refreshing. Even humorous. Bobby developed into one of the most requesed forensic examiners in the department and our friendship only grew over the years and Bobby's was more like dedication. Nothing was too much trouble, ever. You had to be Bobby's friend to understand what a true friend was. Rest in Peace

Death always comes too soon for the living, some say leaving behind an empty space. Robert doesn't leave behind empty space, he leaves behind a legacy of dedication to the safety of his community, friends too many to count and the love he gave and received from his family. Robert will be remembered well, loved long, missed forever and never forgotten.

I am so sorry for your great loss. Bob was a great man - a quiet man, a kind man, and an excellent State Trooper and friend. I will always remember his quiet demeanor and his willingness to be of help to me whenever I had a question or needed help with something while working in Forensics. Clark Family/Liz: I was so saddened to hear of Bob's passing yesterday. Shock does not even describe what I felt. I got to know Bob through the many Forensic classes I took through PSP. We got to know Bob well, and several of us were able to make him blush on many occassions. Bob made those classes fun!! Bob's knowlege, dedication, and love of Forensics and Photography will stay with me forever. My favorite stories were those of him hanging out of PSP helicopters taking his beautiful photographs. I can't thank Bob enough for his help and guidance with all of the photography classes. Even though he was smarter than all of us in the room, he was patient and understanding. His LOVE of photography was evident as soon as he opened his mouth. This is a great loss to the PSP FSU family. Will miss you Trooper Clark!!

To the Clark Family,
I worked every day with your son for the last eight years in the Training and Technical Support Section at the PSP Harrisburg Crime Laboratory. We taught many classes together and had many adventures and good times together during that time. Bob was an outstanding Forensic Services Specialist and had a remarkable knowledge of forensics and photography. He was a real asset to the training section and will be missed. My deepest condolences to both the Clark family and his significant other Elizabeth Zeiders. All of you will be in my prayers.

There are many people who have come to know Bob and are saddened by his sudden passing. He was truly one of God's unique children. Bob was not a boastful, flamboyant man but one who was content to sit in the background observing the intricate interactions of those around him. He most often knew how to be of assistance to others whether it was to provide encouraging words to someone who was down, the de-escalation of tense situations in a non-confrontational manner, or simply just being present. Bob not only gave of himself to those he loved but he also dedicated his career to helping those who could no longer help themselves and provided answers to countless law enforcement personnel and victims' families. That dedication to public service does not come easily or without sacrifice.
Bob, I want to express my unending gratitude for the endless efforts that you have exerted in the pursuit of justice and for the love and support you gave my sister Liz Zeiders and her family for more than a decade. To lose you so soon in life is tragic and you will be missed tremendously. May peace and tranquility be yours.
Sincerest condolences are extended to Bob's immediate family members, the Zeiders family and all of his co-workers and friends at the Pennsylvania State Police.

Dear Robert – you've been my friend, my lover and confidante for over 13 years now. Long enough to understand that life isn't always simple, some days easier than others. We've also been together long enough to be sure of each other's needs and means of life, and no matter what, our love is tried and true! I will greatly miss you my dear Robert, as will my entire family. Your professional career and contribution to law enforcement and forensics is to be greatly commended. Your personal contribution to our love and relationship, as well as to my family, is to be forever cherished! May the Lord shine upon you and raise you to the Heavenly gates above and provide everlasting eternal peace. I will love you forever and will never forget the wonderful years we've shared together! And May the Lord provide me the strength and courage to grieve these saddest moments of letting go and to hold our dearest memories in my heart forever! RIP, LOVE YOU BOB!!
