Erma S. Henne FLEETWOOD Erma S. Henne, 92, of Jefferson Twp., and of Keystone Villa At Fleetwood, passed away Friday, October 5, 2012, in the Reading Hospital. Erma was married to Wayne C. Henne, who passed away December 31, 1989. Born in Millbach, Lebanon Co., she was the daughter of the late Mahlon Firestone and Lula ( Gabler) Firestone. Erma was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Jefferson Twp. Erma enjoyed crocheting, caning, freezing, and jelly making. Erma was employed in shoe manufacturing in Richland and Reading. Erma was a baker for many years at Tulpehocken Area High School in the cafeteria. Survivors include her four children, Sonja Manmiller of Reading, Bruce Henne and wife Diane of Shillington, Eric Henne and wife Nina of Mohrsville, and Nancy, wife of Richard Schoener of Bernville; nine grandchildren, Dean, Glenn, Joel, and Carl Manmiller, Randy Henne, Mindy Guber, and Wendy Henne, also, Peter Angstadt, and Sandra Fisher; 10 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Olive Bentz, a resident of the E.C.C. Retirement Village of Myerstown, Albright Campus. Erma was preceded in death by a grandchild, William Angstadt who passed away February 26, 2008; and sisters, Lillian Schlappich and Joyce Schwalm and brothers, Isaac and Morrett Firestone. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the Kirkhoff Funeral Home, 206 N. Main St., Bernville, with Rev. Krista Keifling officiating. Interment will follow in St. Paul's UCC Cemetery, Jefferson Twp. Friends and family may attend a viewing in the funeral home on Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. until time of service. So sorry to hear of the passing of your mother, Erma. She was a very kind lady and she raised a wonderful family. New Schafferstown will not be the same without her. My family sends it sincerest sympathy and well wishes. She will be remembered fondly.
