Betty Jane Light

Betty Jane Light LEBANON Betty Jane Light, 75, died Friday May 16, 2014 in ManorCare Health Services, Lebanon. She was the wife of Kenneth R. Light, Sr., to whom she was married 54 years. Born in Buffalo Springs on May 26, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Alvin and Naomi Keener Zeller. She was a 1956 graduate of ELCO High School, received her RN degree at Roxboro Memorial Hospital, Philadelphia, and received her bachelor's in Education at Millersville University. She retired from the M.S. Hershey Medical Center as an OR Nurse and also worked at the Lebanon Valley General Hospital, also in the OR. Betty also served as an ELCO district School Nurse. Betty was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, Schaefferstown, where she sang in the choir. She was also active in the Grange and loved to sing. Surviving in addition to her husband is a son, Kenneth R. Light, Jr. and wife Marjorie of Annville; two granddaughters, Caitlin and Tricia Light; three brothers, Harry, Robert, and John Zeller; and four sisters, Berneice Dodd, Ruth Ford, Sylvia Hoffman, and Joan Mauser. She was preceded in death by infant daughters, Kathlene and Beverly Light; and brothers, Warren, Curtis and John Zeller; and a sister, AnnaMae Wolf. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 3 p.m. at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home and Crematory, Rt. 72 North and Camp Meeting Road, Jonestown. Interment will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Jonestown. Viewing will be held on Thursday from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
