Elias G. Adams

Elias G. Adams LEBANON Elias G. Adams, 84, of 2192 Quarry Road, Lebanon, died on Wednesday, October 19, 2005, at the Lebanon Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of the late Anna Hollenbach Adams. Born in Union Township on October 15, 1921, he was the son of the late Henry and Mamie Kreiser Adams. He was a retired selfemployed stone mason and was the founder and partner of Adams Bros. General Contracting. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II serving in the European Theater and was a recipient of four Bronze Stars. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion, a 59-year member of the Jonestown American Legion Post No. 883, lifetime member of the Lebanon VFW Post No. 23, member of the Jonestown Perseverance Fire Co. and the AMVETS Post No. 293. He is survived by his companion of 16 years, Phyllis Miller; his son Elias G. Jr., husband of Delores Adams of Lebanon; a daughter Annie C. Dietz of Lebanon; a brother Leroy Adams of Jonestown; a sister Verna Gerhart of Palmyra; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son Gregory L. Adams; a daughter Elizabeth A. Wildasin; brothers Henry, Herman, Merlin, and Russell Adams; sisters Sarah Soliday, Pauline Hoover, Lillie Adams and Mae Adams. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 24, at 11 a.m. at the Strauss-Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home, Jonestown. Viewing will be Sunday from 4-6 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Salem Evangelical Cemetery, Ono.
