Elizabeth A. Boyer JONESTOWN Elizabeth A. "Betty" Boyer, 78, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 15, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Henry E. Boyer. Born in Lebanon, on January 17, 1935, she was the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth A. Foster Zehring. For 11 years she had worked with the Homemakers at GSH. Elizabeth was a very active member of the Ono United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society. For 27 years she and her husband were very involved with the Lay Witness Missions of the UMC. Elizabeth was a strong supporter of the Gideons and the Susquehanna Valley Pregnancy Center, among other charities. She lived her life as a true Christian example and was never ashamed of sharing her faith with others. Elizabeth had the gift of hospitality, a heart for missions, and a smile that never quit. She is survived by her daughters, Diane E., wife of David Dorman of Manheim, and Donna M., wife of Robert Buckingham, II of Fredericksburg; brothers, Walter, husband of Kathleen Zehring of Lebanon, and George, husband of Connie Zehring of Tennessee; a sister, Linda, wife of Lawrence Heilman of Lebanon; grandchildren, Laura, wife of Steven Koury of South Carolina, Andrew Dorman, Austin Buckingham, serving in the U.S. Air Force, and Connor and Olivia Buckingham. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Katie E. Dorman Fuhrman. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 20, at 11 a.m. at the Ono United Methodist Church. Viewing will be held Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church and one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Ono Cemetery.
