George W. Gross Jr.

George W. Gross, Jr. LEBANON George W. Gross, Jr., 82, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2014, at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. He was the husband of Jacquelyn J. Parsons Gross, to whom he was married for 38 years. Born in Lebanon, on April 3, 1932, he was the son of the late George W., Sr. and Lillian Peffley Gross Soulliard. He was a 1950 graduate of Lebanon High School and attended Hines Junior College. George proudly served his country during the Korean War in the Coast Guard. George worked for Bethlehem Steel as an iron ore miner and was a Constable for Lebanon County. He was a member of the St. Luke's United Methodist Church, Lebanon, the American Legion Lebanon Post 158, and the Annville V.F.W. George was a former Fire Chief for the Speedwell Fire Co. and a member of the Lebanon County Fire Association. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are sons, Thomas Dealy and wife, Karen, Kerry Gross, Scott Gross and wife, Jackie, and Brian Gross; daughters, Lynne Schultz, Kathryn, wife of Gerald Schools, Susan, wife of Jerry Osberger, Lori, wife of Jeff Klinger, and Tina Kimmel; 19 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Lisa Dealy. He was preceded in death by a son, Miles Dealy. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. from the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with full military honors. Viewing will held on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Rt. 72 and Camp Meeting Road, Jonestown 17038. Procession will form on Wednesday at 12:45 p.m. at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Luke's United Methodist Church, 2327 Lehman St., Lebanon, PA 17046 in George's memory.
