Henry F. Hartman LEBANON Henry F. Hartman, 92, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2014, at the Lebanon VA Medical Center. He was the husband of Virginia M. (Hale) Hartman. Born in Lebanon on July 14, 1921, Henry was the son of the late John T. and Catherine Schlegel Hartman. He retired from the former Whitmoyer Laboratories, Myerstown, and was a Eucharistic Minister at the former St. Gregory the Great and St. Mary's Church. Henry was a member of St. Cecilia's Church, the Catholic War Veterans, Verbena Club, Friendship Fire Co., Lebanon Senior Center where he was a bingo caller, and Goodwill Fire Co. in Myerstown. He was an Eagle Scout and enjoyed bowling, golfing, and fishing. Henry was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and volunteered his time at the Lebanon VA Medical Center and within the community. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, David H., husband of Barbara Hartman, and Diana M. Hartman, wife of Dwight Klopp, both of Lebanon; three step-grandchildren, Elyse Klopp, Jenna Gruber, and Danielle Licata; two step-great-grandchildren, Kyleigh Gruber and Isley Jacquin; and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by two sisters, Irene Peffley and Dorothy Sattler. Funeral Mass Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Cecilia's Church, 202 E. Lehman St., Lebanon, PA. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation Saturday morning from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lebanon Catholic School, 1400 Chestnut St., Lebanon, PA 17042; or St. Cecilia's Church.
